We came across this great project called JoinThePipe.org, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, run by a small team of international people.



What is Join the Pipe all about?
Well, that is very easy: they designed a beautiful water bottle (there are plastic, as well as ceramic designs) to replace all the plastic ones you buy – a ridiculous 30 billion in total each year…- in your supermarket, to reduce the enormous waste of plastic bottles (read more on this waste here).



With the money they make selling these bottles, they bring water to places on our planet where there is none, serving over 10.000 people water so far..!
By joining the pipe, you will be part of the very first social network of tapwater drinkers!

About the design
Because we know how hard it is to actually change something for the better of things, we love the fact that the bottle has a very distinct design. It was done by DwarsOntwerp a Dutch designer agency. The shape of each bottle resembles a piece of a water pipe that can be connected to each other, to emphasis the idea of ‘building’ 1 big pipe.
The bottles are made out of Tritan, which is a BP-A free material. And which doesn’t smell, or affects the taste of your water. We like.
